You guys are amazing. No, seriously. You breathe in fresh blood into this stale game. By taking fresh ideas on design, builds, and play styles. You have been in this industry (gaming) for far longer than most want to mention.
You were never the Princess that needed to be rescued,nor the “evil” witch. You are Hero’s, designers, artists. You are the voices of countless people. You are not an anchor for this game. No, you are the wind that is going to continue to bring this game to new heights.
The Harassment you face is disgusting. Words that are filled with bile, and actions that are cruel. Yet here you sit; your place across from us. You are worthy opponents, you are friends.
Our community has failed you on too many occasions. No one can promise a perfect place. For that, I am sorry. I am sorry that so many of you face discrimination, harassment, and I am sorry that in the year 2017 people are complaining that you are on a card.
No, I don’t think you should be on one card. No, you all deserve to be seen on countless cards. Magic has thousands in the library. It’s time to tip the scale so that it is balanced. So that you all can see yourselves. To see your beauty, cunning, smarts, and explosive plays. On the art of Magic the Gathering. You deserve to be on the big screen when a Pro-tour comes around. To be spectators showing us the plays.
To all of those mentioned here. Please, don’t leave. This game stays alive because of you. It grows because of you.
I can’t say ignore the hate. Just flip them off and know that those who would argue for the “good ol’ days”. Well, they’re a bunch of twats who don’t know shit.
