I’ve had a massive change of heart and realised that actually, this franchise is getting a little old and outdated. The mechanics are somewhat behind the times and modern gameplay has advanced far beyond what the nature of the Metroid series and Metroidvanias have to offer. We really ought to be paying more attention to new and relevant game franchises which offer their players refreshing gameplay experiences and better graphics.
Henceforth, this blog is dedicated to one of my long-time favourite franchises, The Elder Scrolls series, more specifically the outstanding, award-winning spectacle that is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Now I know this will come as a big shock to some who have been following my Metroid-dedicated blog for years, but I can only hope you will stay with me as I take this blog in a new and better direction.
For those who aren’t familiar with Skyrim, why don’t you pick up a copy for your Nintendo Switch, complete with all 3 DLC packs? You will definitely enjoy it. This game features a diverse cast of memorable Nord characters, hundreds of beautiful mountains that you can scale on your amazing 90-degree-angle climbing horse, a variety of playstyles that are mostly not as fun as using a bow and arrow, and a few dragons that might be relevant I guess. But they look cool.
