I worry about sharing particularly serious posts on a blog as silly as this, but because I share aesthetic, imagery, and quotes from judaism on this blog, it seems right & proper for me to share some posts about
Yom Hashoah today, the day of Holocaust Remembrance. I do not mean to trivialize, minimize, or make light of the gravity of the day. I wish only to use my platform to spread awareness, history, and wisdom of the Jewish people on a day established to memorialize what they endured, and to celebrate the fact that they have endured.
From a Jewish perspective, I believe wholeheartedly that you are doing the right thing. That your blog is largely humorous is nothing to object against- we all shift between goofy and serious as needed, and I for one deeply appreciate you taking time and energy to commemmorate the Jewish people on such a meaningful and solemn day. Thank you.
