What about an AU where she isn’t fused to a dog
What about an AU where Ed never loses his limbs and Al never loses his body? Overcoming bad circumstances is what makes a story interesting. My main objection to Nina and Alexander’s arc in the original manga is that they are a Bad Circumstance for the Elrics to overcome, not active agents in their own story.
