Just because someone thinks differently than you doesn’t mean they’re evil. Grow up you toddler

“I’m not evil, I just think differently from you,” said the child-stealing night hag to the adventuring party.

“I’m not evil, I just think differently from you,” said the wealth-hoarding king to the starving peasants.

“I’m not evil, I just think differently from you,” said the cleric who refused to heal a child because they couldn’t pay the cleric’s arbitrary fee.

“I’m not evil, I just think differently from you,” said the emperor who doesn’t consider elves to be people.

lovechord:

Hey guys! I finally got a date set for my top surgery. It’s happening on December 21st, less than 2 months away. This is a goal I have had for myself for a long time, and now it’s finally happening. The only thing that’s stopping me is being a college student who is lacking funds.

I would appreciate it if you could spread this post around by reblogging and sending it to your friends. Alternatively, I have a paypal at paypal.me/aidenallison if that is better (pls ignore my deadname)

Any dollar helps, thank you so much!!!

Dozens of major companies just warned Trump not to mess with transgender rights

profeminist:

“We, the undersigned businesses, stand with the millions of people in America who identify as transgender, gender non-binary, or intersex, and call for all such people to be treated with the respect and dignity everyone deserves.

We oppose any administrative and legislative efforts to erase transgender protections through reinterpretation of existing laws and regulations. We also fundamentally oppose any policy or regulation that violates the privacy rights of those that identify as transgender, gender non-binary, or intersex.

In the last two decades, dozens of federal courts have affirmed the rights and identities of transgender people. Cognizant of growing medical and scientific consensus, courts have recognized that policies that force people into a binary gender definition determined by birth anatomy fail to reflect the complex realities of gender identity and human biology.

Recognizing that diversity and inclusion are good for business, and that discrimination imposes enormous productivity costs (and exerts undue burdens), hundreds of companies, including the undersigned, have continued to expand inclusion for transgender people across corporate America. Currently more than 80 percent of the Fortune 500 have clear gender identity protections; two-thirds have transgender-inclusive healthcare coverage; hundreds have LGBTQ+ and Allies business resource groups and internal training efforts.

Transgender people are our beloved family members and friends, and our valued team members. What harms transgender people harms our companies.

We call for respect and transparency in policy-making, and for equality under the law for transgender people.”

So fun fact: A career goal of mine is to make self defense jewelry like this ring here.

I designed this, and had it made specifically for me, to protect myself while maintaining my aesthetic. I was in a physically abusive relationship in my early 20’s and then when I escaped that, I had a stalker in college who was a serial rapist that had avoided being caught. Instead of worrying about my education, instead of worrying about my finals, I was worried about my life.

I got tired of being scared. I got tired of waiting for my impeding doom, I grew tired of the police telling me that my stalker could legally follow me wherever I went so long as he didn’t physically harm me.

I got tired of men wishing to harm me.

So, I did something about.

Carrying pepper spray wasn’t enough. Ya girl likes big purses and I would never find my pepper spray in time to defend myself in an emergency. So, I thought “if I had a ring that also worked as a weapon- I’d feel more in control.”

So, that’s what the fuck I did. I made a 100% steel metal ring that can be sharpened, resharpened, and sharpened again using a steel blade.

I’m happy to report that my stalker was eventually caught and sent to prison.

Anyway, my career goal is to make serious self defense jewelry. I think women would feel really empowered. I live downtown and I walk by myself to get to where I need to go, and I imagine there’s a lot of women like me out there that just want to get home safely, while looking fly and protected.

I’m going to make a gofundme or indiegogo soon in the hopes that many of you could help me achieve this goal.

I WOULD CONTRIBUTE NO JOKE
