Spread the word

it’s true

Why don’t doctors tell people this

Guys you could save someone’s life.

They don’t tell you because some don’t know and they lose money if all you gotta do it buy an apricot and not thousands for chemo

Please spread the word

DO NOT DO THIS. YOU WILL DIE OF CYANIDE POISONING.

Laetrile, also called amygdalin, becomes cyanide when it is processed by the body. This is not a trace amount in addition to beneficial ingredients, it is more than enough to cause major damage or even death.

This “treatment” has been discredited multiple times. Google “apricot seeds cyanide” and you will find many sources.

Here’s a scholarly article from the American Association of Pediatrics where apricot kernels caused four deaths due to cyanide toxicity.

Here’s a scholarly article from the National Center for Biotechnology Information examining cyanide toxicity from apricot kernels in adult patients.

Here’s a newspaper article from last year specifically debunking them as a cancer cure and causing another death.

Here’s goddamn Wikipedia, if you want it in the simplest possible terms.

This is not a cancer treatment, it is a dangerous lie with about as much scientific backing as being anti-vaccination. That is to say, none.

it is really cool that there is now an official maori word for autism, created with input from autistic maoris, and it was specifically coined to be nonjudgmental

quote from article:

“In my experience, people with autism tend to have their own timing, spacing, pacing and life-rhythm, so I interpreted autism as ‘takiwatanga’, meaning ‘his or her own time and space’,” [Keri Opai] told government-funded Maori Television.

I’m not crying, you’re crying.

Languages and cultures do not die a ‘natural’ death; there’s no such thing. It is almost always a product of colonization. The fact that they specifically are refusing to adopt the ‘condescending’ phrases used in English is a beautiful “your genocide failed” fuck-you.
